Unfortunately, crossplay isn't currently possible in Diablo 2: Resurrected. While there is cross-buy between PS4 and PS5 as well as Xbox Series X and Xbox One, if you wanted to transfer your character from PS5 to Nintendo Switch you'd have to buy two separate copies of the game. Plus, you will have to purchase Diablo 2: Resurrected on each individual system. In order to do this, you will need to have your account linked on all the systems that you wish to carry progression across. No matter what platform you're playing on you are able to transfer your characters and loot from one platform to another. These consoles are the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Nintendo Switch. As for online, there are server crashes, extensive lag, players who enjoy killing other players characters or robbing them of loot, that sort of thing, which I want no part of.It was confirmed prior to release that players can enjoy cross-platform progression between PC and consoles. Honestly, I feel that, since I don't really enjoy playing multiplayer, why play on the Diablo II server? I have a short list of other reasons promoting offline, but I don't want to violate my terms of service. I am looking to decide if I should scrap my current character and join online, or continue with offline gameplay. There have been people on other forums that have promoted both offline and online gaming. I really enjoy playing single player, its been fun for Diablo II since I first bought it for my PS5. So, I am trying to decide if I should continue with my offline character or play in a private game, online. But that game monopolized my free time and was ultimately detrimental to my schedule.
The last time I did multiplayer was with Neverwinter Nights many, many years ago. I also am quite new to the game, but am having a great time!!! That said, I have a sorceress classed character made in offline mode, seeing as how I have little interest in online/multiplayer gaming. Hey guys!
